waitingmanFriday night... & nowhere to go
It's funny - Long-Suffering Partner & I are not ones to go out a lot & truth be told we'd probably spend more Friday nights at home these days than socialising, or doing/seeing something. but take the option away & all of a sudden, cabin-fever sets in. What we probably miss most is just going out to dinner, which we normally do quite often - it's how we keep our kitchen at home so clean...
We haven't been to the cinema since 2019 & haven't really missed it that much, but boy, what I'd give to go & see Black Widow right now, or Gunpowder Milkshake, or The Sparks Brothers documentary, or My Name Is Gulpilil - about our most celebrated Aboriginal actor. I could watch the last 2 on television quite happily, but I love going to the cinema for big, dumb, fun action movies
And let's not talk about the last time I saw any live music... mostly because it's been so long I can't remember who it was we saw. King Crimson are/were supposed to tour here around September/October for the first time EVER & it's looking unlikely. Don't talk to me about that either - I may cry
