Friday Five 12.3.21
Mar. 12th, 2021 06:51 pm1) Have you read more books, or fewer books, this past year than usual?
I'd say it's about the same. My industry never got locked down, as it's considered 'essential', so I didn't have any extra time off for good reading
2) What book are you reading now (or what book did you read most recently)?
I'm about 2/3s through 'This Is A Call', a biography of Dave Grohl. It's pretty informative about the 80s-90s punk/independent scene across the USA & how Dave & Nirvana & the Foo Fighters became who & what they are
3) What is the best book you read in the past few years?
After having it sitting on our bookshelf for a few years, I finally got 'round to reading 'The Night Circus', by Erin Morgenstern. Great story, with magical & supernatural themes, but simply told
4) Do you read more than one book at a time, or just one?
One at a time... though there are usually music magazines that get read during that time
5) How big is your to-be-read pile (or list)?
Currently, apart from whatever may take my fancy on the bookshelves, my waiting list only has 1 book on it - 'Her Fearful Symmetry', the 2nd novel from Audrey Niffenegger. A friend had it sitting on his shelf & I really enjoyed 'The Time Traveller's Wife', so...

3. Not sure... I listened to an audio book, "The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, And The Horse" which was quite soothing and pleasant.
4. I've been known to read more than one at a time, but lately just one.
5. Pretty big, and not exactly shrinking.
