Not Working, Driving

No work today, which was kind of disappointing, but turned out okay, as L-SP & I were able to fill the day without too much effort. Long-Suffering Partner had an appointment in Darlinghurst at 9am, so afterwards we headed to Bondi for breakfast at a new-ish bagel place we found when looking for the one we went to about 6 months ago. The new place had one distinct advantage over the other one - there were tables available & the seats were comfortable! Good coffee too...
A quick stop at the Russki Deli (that's really their name, not my abbreviation!!), then back over to our side of town & a last minute decision to have a look at a 2nd car for us/me to use for work. We ended up talking with the car salesman who sold us Laura back in 2019. We test drove a 1.3 litre Hyundai Venue, but after taking it up the 2 steepest hills in the area, decided it just doesn't have the 'grunt' we like for Greater Sydney region driving, so we looked at the i30, which now has a 2 litre engine. By the time I'd accelerated towards the exit gate of the car yard, we'd pretty much decided that was the one. But we're not buying it yet - no matter the friendly pressure our Salesman tried!! It will depend on a few financial things dropping into place first... foremost being some more work - the fact that I have time during the week to look at cars when I should be measuring & estimating, is not something that encourages spontaneous car purchases...
Dinner with friends tonight, back over on the other side of town again. Why don't we know anyone on our side any more!?!?!?
