Day off? Boots off!!
Taken the other day... these boots were obviously NOT made for working - lying abandoned on a city street
I slept in 'til 10.30am... having gone to bed around 10pm last night. Other than the normal wake-up yowl from Bella at 6am for breakfast, that's a pretty solid effort!
Today has otherwise been another one of frustrated intentions. I decided to fire up the new soundcard & software & record something, just to see how it will go. First thing I found was that the headphone jack in the soundcard is the wrong size for the ones I own. No big problem, I can go & find an adaptor at a local electronics store & while I'm there, look at small amplifiers to run a set of speakers I've had sitting in a cupboard for 10 years, waiting for this set-up to happen. And I'll need some speaker wire converters... & some RCA to phono-jack plug adaptors... & a microphone DIN -to-jack adaptor... & then...
Then I had to go up to the local shops for L-SP... then had to go to a less-than-local one, as the local didn't have what was required. Then picked up some coffees...
Anyway, I didn't get down to the electronics store, but I did do some online research & found a suitable little amplifier for 1/2 the price of the one the store was offering. Maybe I'll look online for all the cables & adaptors too
I should have remembered that one little audio purchase always leads to more purchases!!
