A New Favourite?

I've been catching up on various back issues of Uncut & Mojo music magazines over the last couple of weeks, as they get reduced to 2 for $5 at a newsagent near work, once the next edition comes out... The last few have been raving about a female singer/banjo/fiddle player named Rhiannon Giddens & reading reviews of her music & interviews with her, it seemed like she'd be somebody worth investigating. So last night, with some time on my hands, I headed to Youtube to see what I could see... This was the 2nd thing I played, by which time I was hooked
So... her 3 solo albums on mail order & the quest for albums by her old band Carolina Chocolate Drops begins. And it turns out she's playing here in Sydney in about 9 days...!!
