The events in both Australia & Britain over the last couple of years, reveal either the shortcomings in, or the complete subversion of, the Westminster system. Whatever this is, it's not democratic - the voter seems to have no control over the outcome, with preference deals, candidate swapping, candidates defecting, or quitting mid-week &, of course, the revolving door at the PM's office
