Apr. 2nd, 2009 12:39 amStatus: Still unemployed, but hope springs eternal.
News: Not much, trying to keep a low, inexpensive profile, as rapid re-employment & hoped-for pecuniary windfalls have not materialised. Saw Counting Crows & The Who last night, to round out the gig-centric start to the year. CCs were competent, if a little same-ish, victims of a bad sound-mix & a perceivably 'tired' lead singer. The Who were by turns energetic & flabby, depending on which song they were doing. Pino Palladino (okay, you don't see him much, but you can hear him a lot!!) on bass suffered from 'ArenaSound-itis'... a condition which renders your instrument inaudible to the human ear... a shame, as I know him to be an excellent player & his hands seemed to be doing a lot of work ~ as any replacement for John Entwhistle should!!
Anything else?: Well, I confess to having been much more active on Flickr than here, as it's been easier to upload photos than words... they say much more & are non-specific in interpretation. Go find me if you can be bothered... I've posted the link enough times...
More news when/if there is some & I feel it's worth sharing with my audient, or should that be something like 'lexicant'??
