- Road trip to QLD on Christmas Eve ~ good. First Christmas away from family & 99% of friends... Could be refreshing, could be lonely. TBA.
- Reason for roadtrip not 100% sound in my mind, but worth therisk taking. Might even see Bellman if the heavens align... & his mobile hasn't changed.
- Spending too much of my days off at work ~ bad. Seeing how Christmas is no longer the season of goodwill, nor the season to be jolly ~ worse... Misanthropy levels ~ rising.
- When did it become impossible to spend less than hundreds of dollars I don't necessarily have to buy simple presents for the few friends & family I have? Given OBluV8's imminent northward departure, I just hope petrol prices stay down... ish. Financial situation ~ still in recovery from the annual late-November thrashing. Why is that?! It's not like I don't work reasonably hard & some unreasonable hours.
- Workplace diplomacy... is it worth it?
- Wondering if a New Year's resolution can still be made if it's the same one from the last two years?
- Need. More. Sleep. Why can't I sleep?
- If conquering a fear/aversion of 'Massage' was so effective, what benefits might come from a soupçon of 'Therapy'?
- And the big one... following on from a rapidly-formed response a few nights ago ~ If I refuse to live my life by the expectations, standards & norms imposed on me by my society, what's the alternative? Given that interaction with said society is both inevitable & essential, how best to define my own aims, goals & just plain worth in some kind of complementary contrast to accepted paradigm(s)?????
- Enough. As we say in the world of Sales ~ "Have a Merry Two Days Off". *
* Except I heard on the news tonight that some big stores plan to open at 5am on Boxing Day... #$%$#&!!!! What a selfish f#$king precedent... Screw the workers, save the 'Economy'!!! So have a Merry One Day Off?????????
