An unexpected, but certainly not unwelcome, afternoon at home in WaitingManor. Time to catch up on things. Including the photo backlog:

Sydney Rainy Bridge
A Rainy Night In Sydney

Taken on Friday night after seeing Rolf Harris at the Opera House.

Hibiscus Pink-ish
Pink Hibiscus... no, really... it is!

Now ~ perhaps some guitar practice.

Both very nice. What do you use to fiddle with the shots?

Dude, whyfore are you meddling with the ways of nature? *shakes head*

But YAAAY you got the spray of the lights! God, they are so awesome!

And how was Rolf? *curious*

The hibiscus was solarised in P'Shop, then re-contrasted with a bit of selective colour alteration 'til the sky was blue again & the flowers looked just triffid-ish enough to be interesting. No cropping or re-sizing, the framing is as was when taken...

I mean, it was a nice enough phone-camera shot as it was, but not outstanding.

The Bridge shot had very little done to it, despite Aquandrian's comment below. Again, no cropping/re-sizing, just a little contrast & highlight enhancement & that was it. Quite restrained of me, really...

Meddling?!

It's not like I've gone all Dr Moreau & am seeking to 'improve' nature... I just like turning things around a bit occasionally. As explained in my reply above, the Bridge shot is largely un-retouched, just an effective capture of bright lights in rainy weather with a phone-camera.

As for the hibiscus, well who needs to see yet another picture of pretty flowers? At least these look vaguely outlandish & a little threatening... as Nature should be.

Rolf was fun, in a polite, nostalgic kind of way. If it wasn't for the fact that he's done so many interesting things & written the odd nifty, catchy tune, it could have been a bit too MOR, but as referenced in the linked review, his personality &, yes, charm carry him... & you... through for what was a fun 2 hours or so. No regrets, though my co-audient lamented the lack of 'In The Court Of King Caracticus'. There's no pleasing some people...
