If I were a month I would be: April ~ the heat of summer a memory, the nip of winter in the air.

If I were a day of the week I would be: Sunday ~ no expectations, but plenty of possibilities.

If I were a time of day I would be: 11pm ~ the threshold of either oblivion or further adventure.

If I were a planet I would be: Pluto ~ unsure whether I belong here or not.

If I were a sea animal I would be: A Whale Shark ~ intimidating but harmless.

If I were a piece of furniture I would be: A CD rack... obviously.

If I were a sin I would be: Doubt ~ not a deadly one, but damaging.

If I were a historical figure I would be: Nikolai Tesla ~ pioneering, yet largely uncredited.

If I were a liquid I would be: Mercury ~ effective, but not necessarily good for you. See also '15yr old Glenlivet Scotch'.

If I were a tree I would be: A Baobab ~ not much to look at, but a welcome sight in the desert.

If I were a flower/plant I would be: Chilli.

If I were a kind of weather I would be: Early morning pre-frost... about 2am.

If I were a musical instrument I would be: A tenor saxophone ~ as played by Sonny Rollins.

If I were an animal I would be: A Draught Horse ~ strong, noble... harnessed.

If I were a colour I would be: Grant Clan Tartan ~ keeping it in the family tradition...

If I were a vegetable I would be: Asparagus ~ not to everyone's taste.

If I were a sound I would be: A behind-the-nut 6-string strike on an overdriven electric guitar... tremeloed... as played by Adrian Belew.

If I were an element I would be: O3. Holed...

If I were a car I would be: A late 50s Porsche ~ slow by today's standards, but classy.

If I were a song I would be: 'Avalanche' by Leonard Cohen ~ dark yet proud.

If I were a film I would be directed by: The Coen Brothers ~ moody, quirky, accidentally mainstream.

If I were a book I would be written by: Edmund Crispin ~ comical, satirical, murder-mysterious.

If I were a food I would be: A Nan-Xiang Pork Bun ~ misleadingly named, innocuous-looking, but surprisingly flavourful & even better with chilli paste... & brown vinegar.

If I were a place I would be: Purgatory ~ neither here nor there.

If I were a material I would be: Worn leather ~ slightly frayed, but comfortable.

If I were a taste I would be: Lemon & sugar.

If I were a scent I would be: Cigar smoke ~ again, not to everyone's taste.

If I were a word I would be: 'Whimsical'... or maybe 'Capricious'.

If I were an object I would be: A bookmark ~ not sure why... the notion simply appeals.

If I were a body part I would be: The thumb ~ useful.

If I were a facial expression I would be: A raised eyebrow ~ querying, suggestive, sardonic, subtle.

If I were a cartoon character I would be: Droopy.

If I were a shape I would be a: Trapezoid ~ square... knocked sideways.

If I were a number I would be: 13 ~ lucky for some...

What is this fascination you have with Tesla? *curious* And what did you think of Bowie's depiction? Don't mistake me, I think it's wonderfully fitting that a musician should be keen on the guy whose name is synonymous with electrical power. Just makes me want to poke you and request personal elaboration.

Also, Droopy! AHAHAHAHAHHAAA!! Oh christ the image ... also I could say something about the 'harnessed' but I won't ... cos I'm a lady, see? :p

It's not a fascination with Tesla per se, so much as an identification with those whose work goes unnoticed or uncredited ~ as evidenced by some of my other answers. The unasked question which would explain it is "Your ideal role in life would be:" The Power Behind The Throne... I shun the spotlight, but gain satisfaction from seeing the results of my work.

That said, I resent being exploited & do think Nikolai got a pretty raw deal...

'Harnessed'? What could you possibly read into... oh... Oh! I see!!

It'll be interesting to hear from anyone who clicks on all the links...
