Bad News & Not News At All...
Aug. 31st, 2022 09:47 amHere, in Australia, they're talking about ending mandatory isolation when you have Covid, amid talk of returning to 'normal'...When are we, as such a self-centred species, going to understand that this IS the new normal - there isn't, nor should there be, a return to the old 'normal' - the lifestyle that gave rise to the Plague in the first place!!
With that way of thinking, our early ancestors would have tried living in caves for a few years, before returning to the 'normal' life back in the trees... or further back, tried living on land for a while, but then back into the sea, where things are 'normal'... Progress & by extension evolution, are dead - killed by arrogance & selfishness
Speaking of progress, Vale Mikhail Gorbachev, the man credited with ending the Cold War & dissolving the Soviet Union... unwittingly plunging Eastern Europe into a series of civil wars while the old principalities, duchies & tribal borders sorted themselves out, but also exposing Russia itself as a bit of a paper tiger, until a certain former KGB agent took control...
And today - 31st August, is the day Princess Diana died in 1997. Her face is all over the news sites &, of course, all the trash mags, accompanied by stories that all amount to the same thing - she's still dead
Some good news though... Australian anti-vaxxers lose court case & face huge legal bills. Proof that for every 2 steps backward we take as a species, there's still a small step forward...
