And now I'm even more sad... Sean Lock has passed, from cancer. Simply one of the best British comedians of the last 20 years or so & a mainstay on the TV 'panel show' circuit - if Sean was part of the lineup on any show, it would be worth watching... especially, of course on 8 Out Of 10 Cats & its hybrid spinoff 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown The great thing about Sean was how well he interacted with all the other comedians on his team. No matter who it was, he created a unique duo - Bill Bailey, Miles Jupp, Joe Wilkinson, Johnny Vegas, Roisin Connaughty, Claudia Winkleman, Katherine Ryan... there were magic moments with all of them, because he'd find a way to work with anyone without imposing, or losing his own wonderful style.

One of the first times I saw him was on QI, in the episode featuring the Galapagos Tortoise. David Mitchell & Alan Davies are at their best, but Sean drops in a couple of wonderful lines that make it even funnier

In fact, he elevated ANY panel show he was part of, but he will forever be remembered for the game 'Carrot In A Box' where he faces off against Jon Richardson...
