Takin' It To The Streets
Jul. 12th, 2021 01:42 pmHome from work in the early afternoon, after only 3 measures & then some faffing about in the local supermarket, which is just as crowded as ever - even though there's only meant to be one member from each household going shopping now... but this is Sydney's attitude to lockdown in a nutshell - ignore it & carry on. In fact, carry on with even more stuff than you ever did before!! I drove past a headland ocean lookout a few days ago, where L-SP & I sometimes get some takeaway food & admire the view. The car park was full to overflowing & so many people were out & about, apparently 'exercising' than I've ever seen on that walking path before. It seems that even if you've previously never walked further than from your house to the car door, now is the time to go buy some new Nikes & gaudily-branded gymwear & hit the pavements... dodging through the crowds of people who have all done the same. I've seen less people in Pitt St Mall in the centre of town on a Saturday
