The Wall

The day we remember our fallen soldiers... named for the Australian & New Zealand troops who landed at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915 & were shot to hell & back by the defending Turkish troops who, thanks to Winston Churchill, had plenty of time to establish defensive lines & allocate troops to them... What was it with Churchill & his recurring tactic of "fighting them on the beaches"??

Still, at least it took some Turkish troops away from their other main occupation of killing Armenians...

... on an old favourite

We've all heard about the apprentice being sent somewhere to obtain something that doesn't exist. Some of us have been that apprentice. Not me - but I was forbidden to warn the new kid at the bank I worked at in the 1980s about the non-existence of the 'Verbal Agreement Form' he'd just been sent to obtain from a nearby rival bank

And of course there's the good old left-handed spanner/screwdriver etc... But this was a new one for me

And I love how it shows how good the staff are at that particular Bunnings hardware store. A credit to their training!
