My Friday... Your Friday
Feb. 20th, 2021 09:36 amYesterday was my Friday (Five). Today is yours
1. Do you think you are more or less courteous than your parents?
More or less, is a good way to put it. I don't so some of the things my Father did, like standing when a lady joins, or leaves, the table... but I treat people with a bit more respect & try to not lose my temper in public quite as much
2. Has the pandemic affected your manners and in what way?
Only in that there are less people around to experience them...
3. Do you think manners should be taught in school or at home?
I think both. Teachers should be allowed to instruct social behaviour standards, parents must teach decency & respect - especially for teachers!
4. If you are a woman, do you like having a guy hold open a door for you or would you rather hold open a door for a guy?
I've found it's a 50/50 thing... though I've never had anybody call me a chauvinist, or a dinosaur when I do it. I hold the door open for men as well & that can lead to the old "After you" "No, after you, I insist" game that can go on for ages
5 Guys, what about you? Do you like having a woman hold a door for you or does it make you feel weird. Why?
I don't mind... As above, I just hold the door open for everyone, regardless of gender, so I don't mind if someone does it for me
