Happy New Year of the Ox

Dinner with L-SP's parents in western Sydney last night, complete with dancing dragons, drums, gongs & cymbals & more food than we could handle. Her Dad won't be going hungry for a while, with the amount of leftovers we took!

It was with great pleasure I refused a call from the lead carpet installer at my former workplace this morning, following it up with a text bringing him up to date with the situation & recommending he call either of the 2 remaining staff instead. There is a palpable weight off my sore shoulders this week, despite not having secured a replacement job yet...

3 one-hour walks this week & a ½ hour weights session this morning to try & loosen up the slightly stiff muscles around waist-height

Other than those muscles, which make it an interesting experience bending over for stuff, it hasn't been as painful as expected. I've certainly sweated a bucket, but haven't experienced any cramping, or major protests from the legs. I'll see how this coming week goes & then think about maybe lengthening the walk by another kilometre or so, including more of the bush track
