waitingman: (Orang-Utan)
The heatwave did, as predicted, peak on Friday - 'round about the time I was lifting & toting

A good outcome though, as we finished around 2.30pm & the Boss said go home... & I needed no further urging. I was sticky, filthy, probably smelly & in dire need of air-conditioning, cold drinks & a shower. Even with picking up L-SP on my way, I had all 3 of those things within 90 minutes of leaving the warehouse down in southern Sydney

I then made the mistake of lying in bed & reading for a little while, as when the time came to go & meet a friend for dinner at a favourite restaurant, we both had that moment of wavering... coming close to postponing & staying in bed. Only the realisation that our friend was flying out of the country the next day, so we couldn't postpone, got us out the door & driving back into the city... but it was all worth it - good company, good food, good times... & back home by 10ish

Saturday was a slow starter, but by the end of it, we'd been to breakfast & Market in Manly, I'd resumed guitar lessons with my student, who's coming along nicely, but I left him struggling with harmonics, fretted harmonics & bending harmonics with the tremolo arm... all because I introduced him to a song by Wishbone Ash That should keep him busy for a couple of weeks...

Apart from a brief trip to the local shops for supplies, we haven't really left the house today. It rained a little overnight, but only enough to make the day a little steamy - not necessarily any more pleasant
