The Tortoise & The... Cheetah!!

A weekend trip to Western Plains Zoo & an overnight stay called the Roar & Snore experience. Not much roaring could be heard over the crickets, frogs & the couple in the tent next door whose air mattress farted loudly every time they moved.

But the weather was kinder to us than our visit last year, where rain meant a collection of soggy, badly-lit photos. This year, the sun was out & the animals had Spring in their step... Especially the tortoise in this photo, who moved faster than we thought it could. I'd say the cheetah was pretty surprised to see his lunch escape so quickly too...

Now home, to a hot, humid Sydney Summer day... in the middle of Spring. This does not bode well...
