waitingman: (Happy Days)
Like sushi?

Like computers?

Let's go here...

The world seems a little lighter today, despite being incarcerated in Debtor's Prison. I may have bounced.

Now, to open the main gatesdoor of DP, fire up the stereo & let Brian Eno, Bela Fleck, Django Reinhardt, Maggie Bell, The Church, Dave Brubeck & the Crimson Jazz Trio soundtrack my day. May it be a swift one.
waitingman: (Waitsing Man)
At the risk of being howled down by people more fervent, or more economically educated... but most likely the former... I fell out of love with K-Rudd a few months ago. Around that time I was sitting in a Melbourne loungeroom, solving the problems of the world with an erstwhile singer & her new child & we talked about Rudd's 'wait, watch & see' approach to issues, as opposed to taking direct action... You know ~ FuelWatch, GroceryWatch, TwoBobWatch... those advisory, but ultimately toothless committees.

Well, he sprang into action this week, but I'm not sure & neither is Alan Ramsey about the planning, execution or consequences of his method.

We might just as well print more money, or adopt the gumleaf as national currency.
