Lights, (Phone)Cameras, Music... Inaction
Jul. 9th, 2008 10:05 pmWith the wind blowing straight off the West Pole today, 'twas a cold day at Debtor's Prison... therefore a productive one... anything (even work!!) to avoid turning blue...ish.
Continuing to get to know the new phone & its camera ~ installing new software here at home to download photos, transfer music ringtones... blah blah blah... the usual when one gets a new phone these days.
For the curious ~ ( here's how the 2 phone cameras compare )
Waaay back when concert videos were exactly that ~ on VHS, I was working in a music store & a St Patrick's Day concert by The Pogues was released. We put it on at the store one day & I loved it so much I nearly wore it out through repetition on the VCR... & as a result, never did buy a copy. By the time I got 'round to wanting one, of course it was no longer available. Here we are nearly 18 years later & I found a DVD of the same concert at the local JBHiFi, complete with a doco on the band I'd never seen. All for $12!!!. So tonight, after a major supermarket raid to re-stock the Manor's fridge & shelves & a typically el-fabbo fish dinner (if I do say so myself... & someone has to!!), I've been reliving the wonder that was The Pogues in their late 80s glory... Definitely not a pretty boy band though...
( Beware ~ these guys look NOTHING like Boyzone!! )
Now... back to the heater & the last of tonight's winter wine.
