A Rainy Night In Bondi
Apr. 24th, 2008 11:24 amGig done ~ one less to go.
A couple of interesting points about it though. Firstly, what I thought was a venue called the Chapel Café turned out to be the Chapel By The Sea, a mix of drop-in centre, chapel & a sort of kitchen/dining/lounge area with an old Vox PA & a sound engineer who doubled as kitchen-hand. Secondly, I think my disdain/utter dislike for a couple of songs led to me having a rather cavalier attitude to learning how to actually play them, which meant I forgot where some chords were meant to go & when. Quite unprofessional of me, but symptomatic of my waning enthusiasm for things musical. Overall though, I thought I played quite well, as did RonBassBeast (aka Floyd277) & our underage teenage Little Drummer Girl. I'd give the night a 6.5... no, not on the Richter scale, we couldn't play that loud...
