A few thousand of us sat & stood around the Opera House forecourt to see Bjork last night, including the Ticketek demon SarinGirl, who'd haunted the agency website to get first crack at the 2nd release tickets.

And it was worth it!!

Even from where we sat on the posterior-unfriendly staircase, the sound was good, the view not-too-bad & the crowd, if not 'friendly', was pretty relaxed. Nowhere near close enough for photos, though.

Point of interest: One of the 2 keyboard players (No guitars!!) manipulated sound via 2 touchscreens ~ one of which was a regulation 4:3 monitor obviously programmed with interesting graphics, but pretty straightforward. The other was a big round blue screeen that reminded me of a giant sonar... the kind you see on submarines or battleships in Steven Seagal movies. I have no idea how that one worked... he seemed to be moving interconnected shapes around it like some cyber-shaman reading the bones. You could tell it was doing something, but it wasn't always clear exactly what.

I want one!!

Edit: And the obviously-not-too-busy-at-work SarinG has found one ~ it's called a 'Reactable'
