Working, No Waiting
Oct. 19th, 2007 10:48 amAlone again (at work), naturally.
( Quick rant about work while I have 5 spare minutes )
The week has been busy ~ fully booked day & night. My sister's birthday dinner al fresco on Tuesday ~ fish'n'chips on Manly Beach at night. A bit windy, but a nice change from the usual restaurant gathering that my mother kept wishing we'd done instead. A visit to the annual Night Noodle Market in Hyde Park on Wednesday night in the company of SarinG, UnknownB, Sapia &, briefly, Roslyn. A bit more low-key than last year, but the quality was pretty high. The main difference was that we brought our own libations instead of relying on the overcrowded & overpriced bar tent. Once bitten...
A live rehearsal with the Darling Harbour Gig band last night at the Eastern Suburbs Tennis Club in Coogee. Resulting issues arising include the need for a proper bass-player, instead of the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none bloke who does sound, plays harmonica & dabbles on bass. We also need to drill the drummer ~ no surprises there, then.
I'm Vice-Chairperson at Wafflers this evening, in charge of both speech timekeeping & the money... be afraid, or at least nervous ~ I was much better at languages than maths at school!!
An early Halloween party tomorrow night, then a Hands & Feet rehearsal Sunday afternoon, which I'll join after I finish work (@#%*!!!!)
Then one day off on Monday before it all starts again.
