From The Mountains To The Sea
Aug. 16th, 2007 12:21 pmAnd back again... well almost.
Having returned from over the hills & far away on Monday evening, last night found me out at Prospect ~ a Sydney suburb way out west, certainly within a stone's throw of the Blue Mountains foothills. I was there for a work-related product launch that went for so long, I could almost have had my mail redirected.
This followed on from a far more sombre occasion ~ the funeral for one of my best friend's mother. She'd been ill for a long time & it's been a case of 'when', not 'if' for a while, but it's still not something you're ever ready to hear. A tasteful service in a small Catholic church, then a good, old-fashioned wake at a bar overlooking the Harbour in Manly.
Other than that, not much to report, as I enter the monthly fortnight of financial abstinence.
