I've Been Carless

For the last couple of days I've been getting in touch with my inner pedestrian. OBluV8 developed radiator trouble a few weeks ago & I finally got around to handing it over to a mechanic on Wednesday to fix what I hoped would be a simple, inexpensive problem.

I love the way hope always springs eternal with me, despite many & varied experiences to the contrary...

So after a couple of days walking to & from the warehouse (it takes about an hour), I collected OBluV8 this morning from the mechanics who'd been holding him for ransom ~ half my fortnightly wage!!

It's bill-paying season this week too, so things will be a bit tight in the finance department for a while.

The latest round of job applications went out last night. Hope springs eternal that I'll at least get a response from one of them.
