It's Raining Again...

Definitely not the kind of day to be stuck on your own in an outdoor furniture shop. The rain is cascading down, the stock's getting wet (as did I, when putting out the 'displays' this morning) & there is a distinct lack of customer traffic. To top it all off, today's SMH cryptic crossword is a real b@st*rd & there's only so much computer solitaire one can play before insanity strikes. Fortunately the CD player works & I've brought a few albums from home to while away the damp hours.

Dinner with the expanded group of usual suspects last night at the Chocolate Dog cafe in south Newtown. Traditional & modern Mexican was the fare ~ the old standards like fajitas & nachos competing with prawns in a tequila sauce & a bizarre collaboration between chicken, salsa, guacamole & chocolate sauce which tasted a lot better than you might think! Many & varied conversations, new faces, some wines with silly names (Cockfighter's Ghost verdelho, Woop Woop shiraz) & people proving the only Mexican they know comes from Speedy Gonzales cartoons... Fajitas!! Yeeha!!

Bon Voyage to Dorukai, who's off on a Mediterranean jaunt for a few weeks.
