Hot Early... Hot Often
Mar. 24th, 2007 06:05 pmI'm really tired...
The last few days at work have been pretty demanding ~ more physically than mentally... although that's in the mix too. No, I've been doing more than the usual amount of lifting, shifting, delivering & general running around, all in this f@#*ing humidity that I swore last summer I'd never go through again (one of the main reasons for the temporarily-on-hold move south was to escape Sydney's summers). I've been sweating like a... well, an extremely sweaty thing. Probably not eating enough either.
During the day that is... last night I was filled to capacity by the culinary skills & delights of Dorukai. Undaunted by the presence & various dietary choices & requirements of SarinG, UnknownB, Roslyn & I, he managed an impressive array of jambalaya, cornbread & salads, followed by stewed bananas (or apples, in my case). Fine wines, good company... shame about having to work the next day.
Which was polling day. I think this cartoon from the Sydney Morning Herald says it all for me.

Then, as I returned from working, shopping & voting this afternoon, I saw a wonderous thing in the sky...

Rain, glorious rain!! But then I noticed something else in the sky, looming directly overhead

A few quick shots & then I bolted the door on the day. Now for dinner, a drink & bed. Most likely in short order.
