Wine, Women & Song
Mar. 4th, 2007 11:37 pmA good day!
Starting with breakfast at the local & my first coffees for a week ~ 2 long macchiatos. Two & a half hours later, watching the latest 2 episodes of House with SarinG, I was still buzzing from the quadruple caffeine hit. So much so that I was grinding my teeth & fidgeting ~ which I never do. The solution??
Why, a glass of wine, of course!! Nothing like a relaxant to counter a stimulant. One & a half episodes of House, two burned CDs with designed & printed covers & three white wines later, I was pretty relaxed & indulging in some blatant guitar-centric reminiscence at high volume (Cream live at the Royal Albert Hall 2005), when ZenSiren arrived for a singing & playing session. A promising beginning to an as-yet-undetermined project. Should be fun too...
Then WWIII arrived, in the form of a massive thunder & lightning storm from the south-west. Huge lightning strikes stretching from the mountains to the sea, but I'd say Penrith & the Hills District (Godzone Country) copped it hardest.
I knew something was coming, because this was the view to the west around dusk...

ZenSiren scarpered just before the rain came bucketing down... hope she made it home okay ~ her car's a tad temperamental at the best of times & tonight wasn't one of those.
Now, to clean up the detritus of a day well spent.
