Amazing ~ how Bacchus bypasses the caution circuits between brain & mouth... Cheersh!!
Of course, it may also be that I'm in a better frame of mind than I was earlier in the week when plans for the southern move went, well, south... Pardon the pun.
At roughly the same time as employment prospects took a turn for the north, accommodation plans in the south took a turn for the worse. Well, they took a worse turn as far as I'm concerned, but not for the person who grabbed the wheel ~ if you follow me.
The end result was that, simply, it all became too hard to hold together, flimsy as the schedule was, so I've pulled the plug on the current plan & timetable, called in the dogs & p#*$ed on the fire... Maybe later in the year... maybe later.
In other news ~ it's been an interesting diversion, playing the 2 managers at my current stopgap off each other to see what one thinks, or will say, about the other. Surprise surprise, they don't like or respect each other at all. On current evidence... & nothing to do with personal prejudice... I lay the blame at the (probably hairy) feet of the hobbit ~ who seems to have had a personality bypass at birth... no doubt at the request of his equally moronic father (who owns the business BTW), whom I've had the displeasure of dealing with on a few occasions recently. There's definitely no argument that I've inherited some of my father's traits, but this guy has swallowed the worst aspects of his dad's DNA code, mixed it with bile & now spews it over everyone he meets.
Or am I being a bit harsh..? Those who know me may well debate my experiences of other people against my barely concealed prejudices against the arrogantly obtuse & draw their own conclusions as to my judgment.
Having decided to stay in Sydney for a while (at least winter's on it's way & the humidity will fall!!), musical offers are already coming forth. So, on the plus side, I'll still be able to play while I work. It seems some people are relieved at my failing to pass on(ward) ~ so look for me at a venue near... well, nowhere & nobody significant for the time being anyway. But time will tell ~ & doubtless I'll tell you first!!
