waitingman: (Shark!)
Well, as popular as demand gets these days... Okay ~ the story so far -

I finished slavery work at the Ranch on Friday afternoon & had 2 schooners of Guinness to celebrate it... before the Ranch Manager had to go & cancelled the bar tab. A much friendlier & more pleasant dinner (due to much better company) ensued at one of my local Indian restaurants... No real celebration without curry, I say!! Followed by a late-ish night...

A local breakfast on a hot & humid Saturday - nice to get back to routine... followed by an afternoon of dogwalking in Drummoyne, then watching cricket'n'playing chess in Rozelle. The Australian Cricket team fared much better than I did on the day, but I'll wager they weren't distracted by Guinness, good company, TV sport & a potentially superior opponent (Rubbish!!! I'll kick his a**e next time!!) at the time.

Finally got around to seeing Children Of Men on Sunday ~ due to it being a cloudy, lousy light kind of day - crap for photography, but perfect for cinematography. SarinG didn't enjoy it much, but I'm afraid I did... just my kind of bleak, cynical story of hope. I'd wandered through the city & markets beforehand, marking stuff for future consideration & purchase ~ Mammon willing ... Some nice boots for what passes as a reasonable price these days. Patterned suede, Cuban heels... what's not to love??!

Saturday & Sunday nights were spent indulging in nostalgia with The Late Show DVD. Call me puerile, but Rob Sitch & Mick Molloy in the ShitScared segments still reduce me to hyena-like hysterics.

And so today... my first day of freedom in too short a time. 'Twas spent mostly spending an unintended fortune on printing photos, then spending 2 hours trying to find frames & an album for them (don't get photos printed in 8x12 format... you'll never frame or store 'em!!!) whilst, incidentally, spending another fortune on the initial stages & rituals involved in registering OBluV8, which I may have to drive down to Melbourne on Thursday... if the universe aligns itself accordingly. No fingers, legs, eyes or Ts crossed... I've given up being superstitious...

Where's my rabbit's foot... Bellamy!... Bellamy!!??
