It's all [livejournal.com profile] shadow_5tails fault...

Apparently I've been on this planet for 14,344 days. And it makes me wonder...

However, introspective musings along the lines of "What have you done with all that time??!!", are not conducive to effective time management at work... well, not according to the Ranch Manager anyway.

'Ranch Manager'... I'd forgotten I named my GM that when I first started here. It was & still is an appropriate epithet for the guy in charge of a cowboy operation...

Dinner with Rey'n'Art'n'SarinGirl'n'Norvegicus last night. Even when the chef's on a health kick, one's always guaranteed to be waddling away from those meals, with a big, contented, sleepy smile.

A songwriting session in Balmain tonight, catching up with my old schoolfriend on Saturday, then another photo shoot on Sunday. Happily, I'm not in this one, but I'd better give WaitingManor a once-over with vacuum cleaner & duster - must have the manse looking its best...

A Today Tonight film crew, including the programme's host, Naomi Robson, have been arrested & detained for illegal filming in West Papua. But not for the story you would hope...

ExpandCannibals In Our Backyard!! )

My favourite quotes...

Asked on ABC Radio this morning if the Federal Government was taking any steps to assist the Today Tonight team, Prime Minister John Howard said: "Not especially, that I'm aware of." (Finally!! Something I'm grateful to the federal government for!!)

Asked if the crew was going to film a "cannibal boy", Mr Meakin said he did not want to jeopardise the story.

"It was an attempt to get a good story," he told ABC radio. "We don't decide what stories to do on the basis of journalistic credibility."

Truer words were never spoken...
