A full weekend.

Saw Split Enz on Friday night with a friend, 2 strangers & my sister. Nigel Griggs is an under-rated, understated bass player - loved his work. And Noel Crombie is a glorious eccentric...

A keeping-our-hand-in rehearsal for the electronic/goth/pop/rock band that refuses to die, on Saturday. Dinner with Rey'n'Art in the evening, followed by a viewing of Memento, which I resisted the temptation to watch forwards - I like having my brain twisted around occasionally. Lots of high quality red wine too, hence my belated dawn departure as Rey went off to work.

Sunday was spent in the company of my oldest friend - DVDs, CDs & elliptical conversations. Quite like old times, really. Then to the Brass Monkey, a mini-Basement style venue in cold, cold Cronulla. New friends, warm food & Kate Miller-Heidke. Just the thing for those 7 degree (+ wind-chill-factor) nights.

Monday was spent in the OutHouse Studio with my main musical foil. 5 hours!! to get a decent recording of one guitar part we were both happy with. Who says having your own studio leads to self-indulgence??!!
