All Things Must Pass
Nov. 10th, 2005 05:33 pmAnd so, it seems has my latest musical project.
Finally heard from my silent partner today... & kind of wish I hadn't. It would seem her confidence in us as a performing, indeed functioning, entity is gone & with it, her desire to continue the work.
Part of me feels guilty, part of me accusatory. Other parts are sad about the end of a promising partnership, but some are relieved to be free of the walking on eggshells & mindgames involved.
Maybe it's time to take a leaf from 2 of my favourite players & work instrumentally. Singers are proving themselves to be only slightly above drummers in the 'hard-to-handle' list (No insult to Shadow5Tails intended).
Ah well, as Kinky Friedman sang "... When the Lord closes the door, he opens a little window..." I just hope it's not on the 24th floor. For as John Irving wrote "Keep passing the open windows."
Good advice at either end of the spectrum.
