I had an after hours sales meeting, which finished about 7.45ish, earlier than expected, but by which time I'd already cancelled my plans to meet up with a friend after work.
So afterwards, I headed to a relatively local pub to join an old friend & her group of Pathology bloodsuckers - or whatever their 'official' job description is - for a trivia competition.
They say that competition can bring out the best in people... I say bollocks to that!! In this instance, competition brought out the obstreporous, obtuse & obstinate in a bunch of under-educated, over-opinionated blowhards who would argue that black is white if it meant scoring points over someone else in their circle of jerks.
There are some people you wouldn't piss on if they were burning. There are others for whom you would siphon your petrol tank dry to help finish the job faster. Then there are others for whom both of the above applies, but you would also stand in plain sight with a packet of marshmallows & a pointed stick...
