The Worm Turns
May. 2nd, 2005 11:28 pmA weird day.
A busy work day, spent waiting to resign... in suburbs all over Sydney. 'Nervous anticipation' doesn't do justice to how I felt most of the day.
For nothing,as it turned out. For a man who now has no sales team to speak of, my MD took the news disappointingly calmly. No reasons asked for, no shock... or any kind of emotion. Just - "So, you're going? When? Ah, 2 weeks. Where to? Okay, thanks mate."
Damn!!!
The song & dance made over the resignation of the last couple of people in the last couple of weeks, led me to expect SOMETHING to be said... it's nice to know you're valued...
Ah well... on to bigger & better things. Starting with the pay cheque.
