Wine... & Song
Apr. 12th, 2005 10:25 pmHmm.. 24 bottles of red wine on the doorstep when I came home tonight.
That'll chase any lingering blues away.
Working on a song at my foil's place tonight, called Elwood Blues - an acoustic lament I wrote sometime last year as a solo piece for guitar, now expanded into 2 guitars & the beginnings of a post-modern drum track... courtesy of my foil's new computer toys & about 3 hours of our time this evening. The one thing I don't like about not having a bass player & drummer is having to program backing tracks. The one thing I like about not having a bass player & drummer is, if I don't like something - I can erase it without arguments, shouting & pouting.
And so, to bed & the Hobbit. I'd forgotten just how different the writing style is to LOTR... it's starting to remind me of Kipling's Just So stories... O best beloved.
