The Kraken Wakes

I think Friday nights are good for going out all night. It means that by the time you wake up properly on Sunday, you still have a day to do stuff.

sarin_girl has a clearer picture & itinerary of the night in question, but suffice to say, it was an interesting, albeit highly mobile, night that in the end almost literally became a pub-crawl.
Yesterday passed in a bit of a blur, apart from watching the sun rise as I crossed the Spit Bridge in a taxi at about 5.15am. I was woken by a neighbour, enthusiastically blazing away with his new nail gun at about 9am, played chauffeur for my father at 9.30am, had a vague kind of breakfast at the local, then came home to prepare for rehearsals with JoshauLee... a session notable mainly for the fact that we all stayed straight during it ~ no wine, beer, or... other substances were consumed while practising. The band dearly departed about 8pm, allowing me to think about dinner, a friendly phone call, then about 20 pages of Good Omens before Morpheus claimed me for 12 hours.
So today: breakfast, drumstick shopping & a jam session in the Outhouse with an erstwhile colleague & bass-player all rolled into one. Then a quiet dinner somewhere...
