Achey-Breaky Brain
I think I've discovered a side-effect from one of my resolutions... maybe.
After a work-related training session in the Boondocks, I had dinner last night with friends from across both waters & borders at a Spanish restaurant in a not-so-secret location (the place was packed!!). I had my first alcoholic drinks in a while ~ just a couple ~ followed by dessert coffees/hot chocolates in Paddington. After couriering companions back to various accommodations, I hit bed about 11.30pm with the faintest trace of a headache...
Which has blossomed into full-fledged skull-thumping-don't-cough/sneeze-or-you'll-die glory overnight, leaving me praying for it to either dissipate by 2pm this afternoon, or for a mercifully quiet (& preferably kind of dark...) day before H&F come over this evening.
Was it the loud restaurant? The loud music in the restaurant? The glasses of Sangria? A combination of any or all? Or have I been so successful at detoxing over the last week that... no forget it... nobody detoxes that fast. Of course, it could also have been the new facts & figures bouncing around my brain from the training session. In which case, it's all Work's fault...
I'd give Junior's right arm for some Aspro Clear about now...

A Second Opinion
And... having gone to bed with the beginnings of said headache & drinking my usual waters through the night, makes it even more unlikely this is alcohol-related. Far more likely causes include Sydney's dreaded humidity (of which my inability to deal with is well-known & documented), the stresses & worries I haven't quite divested myself of yet... or just 9 days in a row at work.
The Defence rests... with 2 more aspirin, another glass of water & a snappish attitude.
