For The Sake Of...

Yesterday, we completed the final mix of the final track for the first Pelican Daughters album in 29 years... Take that Tool !!

We recorded the basic tracks & samples for this one back in April, then I left it with my cohort to twist & bang it into a kind of sonic shape. He contacted me last week & yesterday there was a bit more contorting, then a few live mixes before we got 'the one'

And just like that, over the last 4½ years, we've recorded about 45 minutes of new material & now it's off to the record label for mastering, pressing, cover design, printing & release

I hope there will be more music in the future, but for now, I've just listened to all the tracks in their proposed running order & we're pretty happy with this one...

We were asked by the record label if we would like to do a small show/promotion tour, most likely in Europe & it's something we are considering... but have no idea how we'd play live effectively. Given there's only 2 of us it would involve quite a lot of things on a backing track & would be a pretty boring show to see. Especially as I'm the only one who plays any recognisable instruments - my bandmate mostly works with screens & buttons

I see and it will required lot of work and money to do it with live concert… Someone need invest to hire session musician and also create visual support for live concerts?

This music required some work to be done and present it to a right people in a right place and a right time. For example, for sure it required some visual and color lighting support and maybe some video with clouds and rain and etc. for meditation and medical relaxation after PTSD. For me IMHO, it’s like neo-classical music and next step after Bach and Beethoven!

I'd like to hear violins playing the bird samples in 'The Chamrosh'...

Not sure if it's quite the right music for PTSD therapy, but happy for someone to try it!

I have crazy idea and it should be done with philharmonic orchestra! I know how crazy it, but it could work just fine for live concert!
