My last day as my own Boss... for now, at least

A couple of weeks ago, my mobile rang while I was on site, somewhere &, not recognising the number, I figured it was a client, so answered in my professional manner which turned out to be a good idea, as it was the owner of a flooring store who was looking for, well in a nutshell, he was looking for me - someone with flooring sales, measuring, estimating, project managing experience & lots of it. Cutting to the 'Show me the money' part of the conversation, he pretty much made me an offer I couldn't afford to refuse... so I didn't & I start tomorrow

I may keep myself available on an ad-hoc basis for at least one of my now ex-contracts, but it will depend on how busy I get, where the job is & what time of day I can get to it. While I've definitely enjoyed the best working relationship I've ever had with a company owner over the last 15 months or so (I don't yell at me if I'm late, I don't get upset with me if I'm abrupt with people, I'm very flexible with holidays & time off...), the income stream has been a bit iffy, so it will be good to get back to a guaranteed figure at the end of every week

congrats! and bon work voyage. i did both - worked for me and worked for others and totally get all the distinctions. hope this is great but if not, i'll be your old boss will hire you back.

So far, both old 'bosses' have been reluctant to let me go entirely, they've both called & texted, asking me to do a few inspections 'freelance'... as they're obviously having a bit of trouble replacing me... I know how to stop them though - charge $10 more than I used to... that ought to do it!!

Thanks... It's been a week & the new Boss is friendly, helpful & collaborative. This can't be right - he must be a sociopathic psycho... or have a secret meth lab somewhere!!!
