2012 USA Roadtrip Day 7 - Supplemental

Going through the photos of Yosemite National Park from our 2 days there in 2012, I found a lot of views from Glacier Point that I'd never really looked at properly. I know I posted a bunch yesterday, but these are too good not to share... well I think so anyway


Behind Half Dome looking into the Sierra Nevada & down on Vernal Falls & the Emerald Pool. Not at its best in September, but still pretty impressive

Past Half Dome & looking up the glacier valley to the Echo Peaks - 11,000 feet high, they were above the glacier, so never got ground into shape like most of the Valley's features

Last time we were in Yosemite, it was a bit closer to Winter & it had snowed at nearby Mammoth Lakes, so I had high hopes of seeing something like this... but no

In another life, I have a green card & work as a Park Ranger at Yosemite... or Glacier... or Zion... or Bryce Canyon... or...

Also, the pic of yours with the Echo Point in the background shows some amazing chattering on the rocks in the front. Yay glaciers!
