Walk & Don't Look Back

If I announce it here, I have to do it...

I'm giving myself the rest of this year to lose 20 kilograms. If Rebel Wilson can lose 60kg in a year with the aid of a personal trainer & the lack of a 9-5 regular job, I think I can achieve 1/3 of that without one of those things & hopefully with the other

I'm back from a one hour walk around part of the neighbourhood & the headland walking track which goes from sea-level to maybe 150m above it on a bush trail that twists, turns & ascends via large rocks, some of which have steps cut into them, some don't... followed by 2½ laps of the large park on top of the headland, resisting the temptation of the coffee truck parked up there for all the dog-walkers. Actually, it was pretty easy to resist - I didn't take my wallet, or phone

If I'm not currently working (more on that in a moment), I aim to do this walk every weekday when there aren't as many people on the trail. On the weekends it's a popular walk for everyone from families to Bear Grylls wannabes decked out in ¾ of The North Face catalogue, so I'm giving myself those two days off... If I do end up working again soon, I'll just have to get up earlier. I already get a 6am wake-up yowl from Bella, when it's time for her breakfast... I just have to stay up & go for a walk instead of collapsing back into bed for another hour

A meeting today regarding my immediate working future - as in whether it's back to a familiar coalface, or off in search of a new one. More later...

I'm still hovering around 169 lbs; down from 196 lbs in December 2019. So not quite 12 kilograms. I have kept the routine of only eating during a several hour window of about 1130 - 1830.

My elevation gain per walk is down quite a bit since the move, but at least I'm still toting 20 pounds of backpack.

That walk of yours sounds good, and a bit challenging with the rocks!

Walking doesn’t helps much for losing fat... how about diet?
