Accidentally... Allegedly

Today's alleged smile bringer allegedly comes from the Sydney Morning Herald... but most likely it comes straight from a police department typewriter without any editing whatsoever... allegedly.

Driver's trail of destruction

A drunk driver allegedly collided with a parked car before ploughing through three fences and destroying a garage on Sydney's north shore last night.

The 33-year-old woman was allegedly five times over the legal alcohol limit.

The woman was driving a BMW along Bardwell Lane, Cremorne, when she crashed into the parked vehicle, a police statement said.

She then continued into Bloxsome Lane when she allegedly collided with the rear fence of a property.

"She then allegedly reversed the car through a second fence, destroying the fence and an adjoining garage," the police statement said.

"The car allegedly continued through the backyard of a premise and collided with a brick wall.

"The woman then allegedly drove her vehicle from the scene before being arrested by police a short time later."

The woman, who allegedly drove away from the scene, was arrested a short time later and charged with drink-driving and dangerous driving.

Her licence was suspended and she was bailed to appear at North Sydney Local Court on March 14.

It would seem that nothing ever really happens any more, until it's proven in court.

Allegedly.
