I think your answer to (5) is related to mine... As we spend less & less time talking directly to people - face to face - & just type away on keyboards & phones, there's a disconnect that leads to misunderstandings, or an unwillingness to understand, usually because we can't be bothered to read someone's full comment (TLDNR), pick the bit that sounds like we can disagree with most effectively & return fire...

It's scary to think that attitude has now elevated itself to global diplomacy levels...
