Pelicans, Thunder & Bees

An evening session with the other Pelican Daughter... & a productive & accomplished one at that. We are now 4 tracks in on the slow rebirth of the band. 2 ambient pieces & now 2 rhythmic ones. I'll post a link to the track once it's up on Soundcloud in a day or so...

Now home. with a storm I saw coming from the south-west at 6pm currently giving us a thorough rinsing, with an impressive light show too... Ready for bed though - feeling buzzed, but a little fuzzy. Kind of like:

This band moves at a slow pace, mostly due to available time constraints, but also because we both do other thing as well - as you can probably tell from the SoundCloud page, my bandmate does a lot of music both on his own & with others... as do I... though my stuff's not quite ready for SoundCloud yet

We are averaging 2 tracks per year, so there should be another in a few months...

How many tracks for a new album? Do you have plan for a new album?

We do plan to have enough for an 'album' at some point... Each track we've done so far has been about 6 minutes long, so we've done about half an hour's worth. The plan is to get to about an hour, so on average, that's another 4 tracks to go

8 tracks doesn't sound like much, but an hour sounds like enough!!

I've just bought some equipment & software to finally be able to record at home, so be patient... it's coming!!
