The immediate future looks smokey... As the world is starting to see, significant parts of my home state of New South Wales, as well as parts of 3 others, are ON FIRE!!!!
With the drought of the last few years showing no sign of letting up & no rain forecast for anywhere, any time soon, the only thing that will stop the fires is either the surrounding seas, or they'll just run out of things to burn
Otherwise, it's the usual quiet start to the year - ordinarily I'd be thrilled by the lack of traffic on the roads, making it easier to get around for my job, but there's not much work going 'round at the moment, as the global & local economies have hit their brakes pretty sharply...
But L-SP & I are okay - we're not on fire, we're not starving, or homeless, so there's much to be grateful for... though there's a lot to worry about
