We're Doomed...
... in about 1.28 million years...
A red dwarf star is heading our way & is likely to disrupt the outer solar system, its comets & maybe some dwarf planets too, throwing their orbits out of whack & sending them Earth's way

Apparently this happened 'round here before - about 70,000 years ago & would have scared the bejesus... okay, a bit early for the bejesus... how about the crap out of Neanderthal man
The pessimist in me says we'll be long gone in 1.28 million years - a mere blip on the planet's evolutionary history - but the super cockroaches that will outlive everything had better watch out!!
In other news, we're having a heatwave... a tropical heatwave, here in Sydney. Heaters & blankets back in cupboards & out with the fans!!
