The Faces are re-forming... sort of
Okay, so their driving & creative force died a few years back & obviously his 1970s replacement has made himself unavailable for reasons unknown, so I suppose drafting in a former Sex Pistol is both in the spirit of things & a tad amusing...
But replacing Rod Stewart with Mick Hucknall?? If you were looking for a singer who wouldn't give you ego trouble, you looked in the wrong place I'll wager.
And augmenting a currently personally troubled but otherwise perfectly capable guitar player with Slash!!??!!??
He's a great guitar player, no doubt, but I really don't want to hear 'Stay With Me', 'Cindy Incidentally', 'Had Me A Real Good Time' & too many other great songs turned into Guns'n'Roses overblown guitar wank-fests. The guy suffers from what I call 'Coltrane Syndrome' ~ he just doesn't seem to know when to stop playing...
